Encourage

Men's Ministry

"But command Joshua, and ENCOURAGE him and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which you will see."

Deuteronomy 3:28 (NKJV)

Group of men ENCOURAGE  is the powerful, inspiring and active men’s ministry of Rhema Church Scotland.

Although it's unusual to use a verb as the name for a ministry, it perfectly captures the core precept of our men in action at these meetings.

These meetings are a time when brothers in Christ can come together in one place and one accord and, with the help of the Lord, these men of faith encourage, inspire and support one another in the matters of God, which are relevant to life today.

"Now Joseph, a Levite and native of Cyprus who was surnamed Barnabus by the apostles, which interpreted means ‘Son of ENCOURAGEMENT’."

Acts 4:36 (Amp)

In these meeting times, the Lord has emphasised the importance of encouragement through faith in His Word and by the Power of the Holy Spirit. The Book of Acts describes this ministry very well. As the men come together, souls are strengthened and exhorted to continue in the faith. Proclaiming the way of Salvation, converts are produced and disciples are made.

"When he arrived and saw what grace (favour) God was bestowing upon them, he was full of joy; and he continuously exhorted (warned, urged and ENCOURAGED) them all to cleave unto and remain faithful to and devoted to the Lord with (resolute and steady) purpose of heart."

Acts 11:23  (Amp)

"So when they were sent off, they came to Antioch; and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the letter. When they had read it, they rejoiced over its ENCOURAGEMENT."

Acts 15:30-31 (NKJV)

"So they went out of the prison and entered the house of Lydia; and when they had seen the brethren, they ENCOURAGED them and departed."

Acts 16:40  (NKJV)

Fellowship is also a very important part of ENCOURAGE. When the men gather together they enjoy each other’s company, relaxing and chilling out. This includes enjoying a game of pool, football and darts, and let’s not forget the food and refreshments they enjoy together.

"Then they all became more cheerful and were ENCOURAGED and took food themselves."

Acts 27:36 (AMP)

You are very welcome to come along and join in with the fellowship and fun of ENCOURAGE – Men’s Ministry
