It is with great honour and respect that Rhema Church Scotland holds in the month of November our annual Faith Convention. The convention known as 'Legacy of Faith' is held over the closest weekend to the 6th November. As this was the date, in 2008 that our beloved Pastor - Reverend Dr. Peter Hadden went home to be with the Lord.
Pastor Peter Hadden was a great visionary and a man of Faith. He left us with an amazing legacy through his teaching and input into our lives - hence the Faith Convention has been called 'LEGACY OF FAITH' in honour and out of respect for him and his ministry and what he has imparted to us and to this church. Pastor Peter was a man who ran the race not only spiritually, but physically and in November of each year, he would run the 'New York Marathon' to raise monies for Dr. Lester Sumrall's organisation, 'Feed the Hungry'. When Dr. Sumrall asked Pastor Peter to run for 'Feed the Hungry', he considered this a great honour and diligently ran this race for more than 16 years.
This year's convention will take place over the weekend of Friday 4th through Sunday 6th November 2016, and our guest speakers for this year's convention will be Pastors Stephen and Diane Sumrall from the USA.
Pastor Stephen Sumrall is the founder and president of Provident Ministries, Feeding the Nations and the Senior Pastor of Christ Chapel Church and the son of Dr. Lester Sumrall. He has achieved national and international recognition as a humanitarian, leader and pastor.
Pastor Stephen has been in ministry for 43 years and has travelled to and ministered in 47 nations around the world. He has taken relief to the hungry and hurting in over 60 nations and has met with many heads of state.
Pastors Stephen and Diane are aware of the significant challenges facing families today and address those needs with answers based on Biblical truths. They have a balanced approach to ministry with an emphasis on steadfast faith in a rapidly changing world.
The vision Pastor Stephen and Diane share is the same as our own Pastor, Reverend Sherrie Hadden, and that is to minister with compassion, the truth of God's Word and the Love of Jesus Christ to all.
