"Jesus is the Reason for the Season" Throughout the world at this time of year, there is so much activity and preparation. With many parties, people shopping and preparing for the enjoyment of Christmas. In the hustle and bustle of the excitement of the season, we can so easily forget the real meaning of Christmas - to celebrate the birth of our Saviour and Lord - Jesus Christ - "Unto us a child is born and a Son is given!" (Isaiah 9:6)
JESUS is the true reason for the season and it is through Him that we have received a new life with a new way of living. So therefore in the midst of all our activities, preparation and excitement let us each take the time to worship Him! After all, Jesus is the real reason for Christmas celebrations.
At Rhema Church Scotland, Christmas is a special time of year on the calendar and it is because of our love for our Saviour that we ensure that He is honoured and worshipped throughout the season. Therefore we try to have several activities and celebrations happening for all our age ranges, all with the emphasis of celebrating our King and Saviour – Jesus Christ. With Anchors & Gems children’s parties, Intensity Youth Christmas Party and our Rhema Church Open Evening and Family Night there is so much for all the family to enjoy here at Rhema this Christmas.
Also at Christmas time we are very aware of those who may not be seeing this time of year with excitement and we at Rhema always try to stretch out the hand of Jesus to them. Our Christmas Hampers are always well received by the families and homes we reach out to, blessing them and allowing them to feel loved, and cared for at Christmas time.
We are looking forward to another exciting Christmas season and another opportunity to enjoy with our brothers and sisters in Christ the fun and festivities of celebrating the birth of our Saviour and King – Jesus!
